Ammon News - Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Nayef Fayez, participated in the opening ceremony of the Jordanian pavilion at the World Travel Market London (WTM), which kicked off on Monday, and will run to November 3, with wide local, Arab and international participation.

Several representatives of foreign tourism companies visited Jordan's pavilion, marking a "distinguished" presence on its first day, according to a ministry statement.

Fayez said the exhibition is a "key" event in London, which represents an opportunity to revive international tourism movement to the Kingdom.

Fayez also highlighted the importance of participating in the event, as a basic station that supports the Kingdom's plans to attract foreign tourism, adding that Jordan's pavilion 2021 is characterized by the "new" tourist identity, which will be announced during the 3-day exhibition.

Lauding the "qualitative" leap in tourism to Jordan from EU countries and the start of recovery period, he said the Kingdom began benefiting from its efforts with an "active" tourism movement after signing cooperation agreements with several international low-cost airlines (Wizz Air, EasyJet, Ryanair), which recently started operating flights to Jordan.

These steps show an "active" interest from foreign tourists to visiting Jordan, he said, announcing 6 low-cost flights, carrying foreign tourists, landed in the Kingdom today.
