Ammon News - The King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) and the Jordan Bromine Company (JBC) signed on Sunday a memorandum of understanding in the presence of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, the Chairwoman of the Trustees Commission of the KHCC, Jordan News Agency Petra reported.
Under the memorandum, which was signed by the Center's Director General Nisreen Qatamish and the company's Director General Samir Asfour, the JBC donated to the "Naming and Honoring" program to upgrade the center's infrastructure and equipment, in addition to Al Jood GCC Equity Fund covering the treatment expenses of patients who cannot afford it. The center's dental clinics will be named after the JBC in return.
Qatamish lauded the the JBC's support and belief in the KHCC mission, calling on all sectors to work together to combat cancer and treat and support as many patients as possible, according to Petra.
For His part, Asfour underscored that the private sector's role is fundamental in partnership with the KHCC, underlining the need to support the center's vision as part of the company's social responsibility and belief in the center's work.
He pointed to the JBC's commitment to supporting this vision in the last few years. Signing this memorandum, he noted, highlights the commitment to cancer patients.
