QAIA handles 5,266 ACMs in September, down 7pct MoM

Ammon News - The Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) handled a total of 5,266 inbound and outbound aircraft movements (ACM) in September, down 7 percent from the figure reported in August, according to Haitham Misto, Chief Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC).

Misto said Jordan News Agency Petra that the total ACMs since the start of the current year reached 31,539 to and from 69 direct destinations.

Similarly, passenger traffic dropped by 16 percent in September to a total of about 558,000 travellers. The daily average of inbound and outbound flights stood at 176 against 46 and 226 in the same month of 2020 and 2019, respectively, Misto noted.

Since the start of 2021 through September, the airport welcomed a total of 3.078 million passengers.
