British Council delegation visits AQACHEI

Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions

Ammon News - A delegation from the British Council in Jordan visited on Tuesday visited the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI).

The delegation examined the AQACHEI work mechanism and its achievements at local and international levels.

Many topics were discussed, including mechanisms for implementing Jordan's National Qualifications Framework (NQF), setting a local framework for characteristics of graduates in Jordan, creating a platform for alignment between the labor market and outcomes of Jordanian higher education institutions, international accreditations, and hosted programs in Jordanian universities, and the AQACHEI's role in improving the quality of education and achieving a qualitative shift in the higher education sector and developing it with all its components and systems.

AQACHEI Chairman, Thafer Saraira, underlined the importance of joint cooperation between the AQACHEI and the British council, lauding the council's role in providing various cultural services at the local level.

For his part, Director of the British Council in Jordan, Summer Shah, commended the AQACHEI's efforts to develop higher education outcomes in Jordan.
