Ammon News - Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Nayef Fayez, said the musical, folkloric, cultural and artistic events, which were launched in Jordan's Golden Triangle as part of "Hawa South" campaign and the "Urduna Janna" program, which are both dedicated to promoting domestic tourism, contributed to reviving tourism flow and increased visitors flocking these attractions.

In an interview with "Petra," while attending a musical event in Wadi Rum on Friday, Fayez said these various events and activities launched by Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in cooperation with Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) and The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), followed success in the government's goal aimed to reach " safe summer", and vaccinate a "large" segment of citizens.

Fayez said "Urduna Janna" program focused on Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba, which constitute Jordan's "Golden Triangle," aimed to activate domestic tourism movement in these southern tourist destinations.

This active tourist movement followed "remarkable" challenges in the last period amid the Covid-19 pandemic, he said, adding that foreign tourism gradually returned, which is a "promising" indicator to recover world tourism to Jordan.
