Ammon News - Qatar national team golf players will kick off their new season by taking part in the Jordan Open next month, informed officials of Qatar Golf Association (QGA).

The players of the national team kick off their preparations of the upcoming season by training under coaches associated with QGA and Qatar Golf Academy. The first international stop for the Qatar players will be in Aqaba, Jordan at Ayla Golf Club, for the Jordan Open, which takes places from October 21 to 23.

Three Qatari players, Ali al-Shahrani, Abdul Rahman al-Shahrani and Saleh al-Kaabi, will be seen in action in the tournament.

The event in Jordan will be the first international competition for the Qatari players since the Qatar Masters, a European Tour event which took place at the Education City Golf course in March this year, under strict health guidelines.

The event in Jordan will be the first international competition for Qatari golfers ever since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world early last year.

The Jordan Open will be followed by the 12th Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship (AAC) which is set to take place from November 3 to 6 at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.

Two Qatar golfers, Ali and Saleh, will be taking part in the UAE event which is open to top ranked amateur players from Asian and the Pacific region.

The Qatari golfers are also expected to take part in the Arab Championship, the 40th edition which will take place from December 16 to 23 in Egyptian capital Cairo.
