Moderate weather to prevail over weekend

Ammon News - Temperatures on Thursday are expected to hover around annual average, with moderate weather conditions prevailing in the highlands and the plains, while it will be relatively hot to hot in other regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
On Friday, mercury levels will dip few degrees, making relatively hot conditions in most parts of the country, except in the heights and the plains where it will remain fair, with low-altitude clouds in the northern and central areas, and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
Toward Saturday, a further drop in temperatures is predicted with similar weather conditions and a chance of light spotty showers in the northern regions, the department further said.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Thursday will range between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 18C or even 15C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 39C and a low of 26C.
