Ammon News - Jordan's exports to Brazil witnessed a significant growth of 126 percent during the first six months of 2021, Brazilian Ambassador to Amman Ruy Amaral said on Tuesday, Jordan News Agency reported.
On the occasion of his country's national day, the ambassador confirmed that "the Brazilian-Jordanian ties have been characterized by fluidity and friendship political dialogue since diplomatic relations officially established in 1959, above all, after the opening of the Brazilian embassy in Amman and the Jordanian embassy in Brasilia in 1984.", as reported by Petra.
Trade between both countries is flourishing, he indicated, noting that "the Brazilian exports to Jordan reached a historical record in 2019, the year when the Jordanian exports to Brazil grew by 230 percent. They grew again by 100 percent in 2020."
The envoy also stressed that the launching of the Jordanian-Brazilian Business Association in September 2020 was as an important step to strengthen these ties and to symbolize the growing dimension of the partnership between the two countries.
