PM issues communiqué lifting curfew restrictions on people mobility countrywide

Prime Minister, Dr. Bisher Khasawneh, issued communiqué No. 44 of 2021, which ended curfew-imposed restrictions on people mobility countrywide, and allowed establishments to operate at all times the week round.


The communiqué No. (44) for 2021 was issued on the provisions of Defense Order No. (19) of 2020.


Following is the full text of the PM's communiqué issued based on the provisions of Clause (Eighth) of Defense Order No. (16) of 2020, and Defense Order No. (19) of 2020:


First: People are allowed to move and travel across all the Kingdom's regions at all times throughout the week.


Second: Subject to what was stated in clause (3) of this communiqué, establishments in all the Kingdom's regions are allowed to operate at all times throughout the week.


Third: 1- Night clubs, bars and discos will be opened and allowed to work at times specified at a rate of 50% capacity.


2- Theaters are opened and festivals, exhibitions and conferences are allowed to be organized, provided that their attendee capacity does not exceed 50%.
3- Paragraph (1) of clause (3) of communiqué No. (39) of 2021 is amended by omitting phrase (not exceeding 100 people) and replacing it with (not exceeding 200 people).


4- The provisions of clause (2) of Defense Order No. (30) of 2021 shall apply to the facilities referred to in this clause.


Fourth: 1- Establishments contained in Clause (3) of this communiqué shall abide by the provisions of defense orders, communiqués and instructions related to public safety, work protocols and preventive measures issued by the Ministry of Labor and approved by the Ministry of Health, provided that the facility begins to operate after completing the required procedures and signing the necessary undertaking for that end.


2- All employees of the establishments referred to in paragraph (1) of this clause and people who visit those facilities are required to be among the persons allowed entry in accordance with Sanad. app "green" status.
Fifth: 1- Means of transport are allowed to operate at their full capacity, provided that a public vehicle/bus driver has received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine a month earlier.


2- The driver who violates provisions of paragraph (1) of this clause shall be punished with a fine no less than JD50 and not exceeding JD100, while the repeat violator will be imprisoned for a period not exceeding six months.
3- Paragraph (2) of Clause (1) of Defense Order No. (27) of 2021 and the amendment made to it pursuant to Clause (5) of communiqué No. (38) of 2021 shall be repealed.


Sixth: The Prime Minister may amend any of this communiqué's provisions by other communiqués issued for this purpose.
