Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership kicks off Saturday

Ammon News - The Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership is scheduled to kick off the next few hours, in the presence of a number of Arab leaders, at the forefront is His Majesty King Abdullah II.

The conference aims to restore Iraq's regional role and find economic and social integration among the countries and peoples of the region.

In addition to Jordan, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iran and France, the Arab League, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will participate in the conference's deliberations, according to its preparatory committee.

The event is key to restoring Iraq's regional political and economic role and starting implementation of regional projects that benefit Iraq and the participating countries, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi told the press.
