Tourism income down 44.8pct in first half of 2021

Jordan’s tourism revenue tumbled by 44.8 per cent in the first half of 2021 to a total of JD441.4 million against JD784 in the same period of last year.

Jordanians expenditure on travel during the January-June period also dropped by 4 per cent to reach JD190.1 compared to the same period of 2020, figures released Wednesday by the Central Bank of Jordan indicated.
