 Police Sunday arrested a wanted man in possession of narcotics and a firearm after a car chase.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) said the police moved on the suspect after receiving a tip that a man was seen in a car with a "large amount" of narcotics and a firearm.

The pursuit started after a police officer pulled over the suspect, where the latter pointed his gun at the police officer and drove off on Airport Street. His car was intercepted, and he was put in custody.

The suspect is held in custody pending investigations.
