The process of digital transformation, whether in the areas of education in its various stages, or economic and life activities, has become an "urgent" necessity and an "inevitable" reality that must be dealt with, especially amid the Covid-19 crisis-imposed challenges, according to Al-Rajbeh.

The telecom and information technology sector represents a "basic" foundation of national security, in addition to its importance as an "important and supportive" leverage of various economic activities, he noted, stressing that this role was "clearly" demonstrated during the Covid-19 pandemic, as reported by Petra.

The sector, he noted, played an "important" role during the pandemic in terms of supporting Jordan's efforts to combat the disease and sustaining work of many sectors, including health, education and some economic activities , in addition to facilitating the citizens' lives.

The number of companies operating in the telecom and information technology sector countrywide exceed 3,000, which employ more than 45,000 workers.
