Ammon News - The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply on Monday said it was studying the prices of dairy products in the market after a local producer unexpectedly raised prices by 4 to 20 per cent.
"The ministry will take the necessary measure according to the law if it finds any price gouging", a ministry source told Petra.
The ministry's move came after the Jordan National Society for Consumer Protection (NSCP) called for a price cap on dairy items following the recent hike, and urged consumers to buy from other manufacturers.
