Ammon News - The Jordanian Engineers Association (JEA) on Tuesday held the third edition of the award ceremony for the best Jordanian products in the chemical and plastic industries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
CEO of the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) Abdul Fattah Al Kayed, during the ceremony, said that the award aims to highlight and promote distinguished Jordanian industries and help them access global markets, calling for scaling up private sector efforts to overcome the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
JEDCO over the past 10 years provided technical and financial support for 52 companies in the fields of chemical and plastic industries, he said.
JEA President Ahmed Zub’i said that the award in its third edition aims to support industrial businesses in the economic recovery stage, according to Petra.
Head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry Fathi Jaghbir highlighted the important role that the Jordanian products played during the pandemic, helping to maintain stability of the market.
At the end of the ceremony, Kayed awarded the winning company financial support allowing it to take part in a global fair to promote its products.
