Ammon News - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali Saturday chaired a meeting, which was attended by the head of the "Made in Jordan" campaign and a number of officials in the relevant government agencies, to discuss the mechanisms needed for the success of the campaign.

Ali stressed the importance of the promotional campaign to support the national industry, increase its sales locally and improve its quality and specifications for better access into foreign markets, noting the Amman Chamber of Industry's efforts in supporting the national industry and launching the campaign.

She called on the concerned departments of the ministry and the institutions, including the Civil Consumer Corporation, the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation and the Standards and Metrology Organisation, to cooperate with " Made in Jordan" to make it a success "that will reflect positively on our national industries and enhance its presence in the local market."

Iyad Abu Haltam, head of the "Made in Jordan" campaign, gave a briefing on the campaign's goals, working mechanisms and partnership with the relevant agencies, explaining that its new strategy seeks to devise promotion and distribution concepts and adopt up-to-date e-marketing and e-commerce criteria to raise exports and give them access to non-traditional markets.

"Made in Jordan" seeks to stimulate the Jordanian industries to meet the campaign's requirements and the highest approved specifications and standards that reflect the quality Jordanian industrial products had reached and gained access to more than 140 countries in the various continents, he said.
