14-07-2021 11:39 PM

Ammon News -

The Government of Jordan Wednesday approved a bill on an extradition of criminals treaty with Romania.

The treaty would enhance the cooperation between the kingdom and Romania in combatting crime and ensure outlaws would not escape justice. It stipulates that the extradition of prisoners would not violate Jordan's constitution.

On investment, the Cabinet approved a bill that would regulate the buying, selling and renting of the National Resources Investment and Development's lands of 2021.

The bill is aimed at encouraging and luring investors in and reducing the time in which an investment could start. It also seeks to boost cooperation between the private and public sectors.

The Cabinet also approved the recommendation of the Settlement and Reconciliation Committee to settle tax dispute cases of up to 909 taxpayers with the Income and Sales Tax Department.
