Mutah University president receives Iraqi ambassador

Ammon News - President of Mutah University, Arafat Awajan, on Tuesday met with Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Haider Al-Adhari and cultural advisor at the Iraqi embassy, Waseem Al-Tamimi.

The meeting discussed the development of relations between the two countries, especially in the academic field to serve students and their scientific career.

Awajan said that the university is keen to harness all its capabilities to provide opportunities for knowledge acquisition in line with the aspirations of Arab brothers studying at the university.

Al-Adhari, in turn, lauded the good efforts of the university’s staff, which places student affairs at the top of its priorities, praising the cultural and academic relations that link scientific institutions in the two brotherly countries.

The two sides tackled academic issues, which are a translation of the close relations between the two countries at all levels.

Concluding the visit, the Iraqi envoy met with a group of Iraqi students and professors.
