Ammon News - Orange Jordan and Huawei Jordan signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance ICT skills in the Kingdom.
According to a press release by Orange Jordan on Tuesday, the memorandum was signed by the company's CEO, Thierry Marigny, and the CEO of Huawei's office in Jordan, Ethan Wang.
Under the memorandum, Orange Jordan will be able to train students of its digital programs through the latest technical courses from Huawei, including 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity and networks courses. Huawei will provide experts on these topics to remotely train 200 participants per batch and award the trainees with HCIx certification.
Marigny said: "We are proud of our partnership with Huawei, a leading digital technology company, as we share a vision of digital inclusion and empowerment. This collaboration will help enhance the scope of sustainable digital programs that we implement as part of our corporate social strategy to prepare more people across the Kingdom for the job market or to start their own business."
President of the Carrier Network Business Group in the Middle East Region Jian An, said: "The launch of the HCIx training and accreditation program aims to support local talent and introduce them to the latest technologies, train future generations to prepare for future career development, as well as make more contribution to accelerating the establishment of the local ICT ecosystem."
