Ammon News - Around 80 per cent of eligible people in the Canadian province of Quebec have received at least one dose of vaccine, Prime Minister Francois Legault announced.
In a statement on Wednesday, Legault said that all of Quebec will move to the green zone as of Monday, as COVID-19 cases drop and vaccinations continue.
A maximum of 10 people can gather indoors, and 20 people outdoors, the premier noted, adding that at restaurants and bars, staff can now seat 10 people at an indoor table.
"Those in private homes with both vaccine doses can gather without wearing masks," he said.
The premier stressed that the province is watching the number of variants closely.
"We have to be careful," Legault stated, adding "We also know that it may be good during the summertime, but we have to prepare ourselves for the fall."
Quebec leads the rest of the Canadian provinces in terms of COVID-19 deaths as it has recorded a total of 11,195 fatalities, along with 374,095 cases, of which 361,675 patients have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic.
