Ammon News - The weather on Wednesday is forecast to be fair in the highlands and the plains, and hot in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, with temperatures hovering around annual average, reaching a high of 30 degrees Celsius in Amman during daytime, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.

In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is expected as mercury levels slide to around 19. In the port city of Aqaba, daytime temperatures will stand at 38 degrees, while lows will slide to 25 at night.

The department also warned against direct exposure to sunlight in the afternoon, mainly in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Toward Thursday, mercury will rise few degrees, making hot conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the hilly areas and the plains where it will remain moderate, the JMD added.

Temperatures will continue to rise on Friday, marking 2-3 degrees above average and bringing relatively hot weather in the highlands and the plains, and hot conditions in the Badia areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the JMD noted.
