Ammon News - Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD), Major Gen. Hussain Hawatmeh, discussed on Wednesday with a Qatari delegation, headed by Director General of Public Security Department, Major Gen. Saad bin Jassim Al-Khulaifi, ways to enhance cooperation between the two two countries' police and civil defense apparatuses in various training and technical fields.

Speaking during the meeting, Hawatmeh stressed the "deep-rooted relations between the two brotherly countries, pointing to the importance of strengthening the existing cooperation in security and civil defense fields, especially in the training area, exchanging expertise, and combating crime in a way that would serve the two brotherly peoples.

For his part, Al-Khulaifi praised the level of cooperation between the Jordanian and Qatari police and civil defense departments, pointing to PSD's "good" reputation and "advanced" level and its "accumulated" experiences at the local and international arenas.

The visiting delegation, also comprised of Director of Qatari Civil Defense, Brigadier Gen. Mohammed Hamad Al-Dhaimi, stressed the importance of "closer" cooperation with the PSD in various policing areas, expressing their pride in the "good| relations with the PSD in the context of the "distinguished brotherly" ties between the two brotherly countries.
