Ammon News - The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) received on Wednesday, a Kuwaiti humanitarian aid plane to the Palestinian people.
Upon receiving the relief plane, the JHCO's Secretary-General, Hussein Al-Shibli, said the food and infant formula milk will be delivered to associations in the Gaza Strip, while coordination will be made with Al Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem to deliver medical supplies, to meet needs of the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Al-Shibli also expressed thanks to Kuwait for its efforts to support the Palestinian people amid their current difficult circumstances.
For his part, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan, Aziz Rahim Al-Daihani, expressed appreciation for the JHCO's efforts to facilitate delivery of Kuwaiti aid convoys for the beneficiaries, adding that humanitarian work in Kuwait is a "distinguished" model that Kuwaitis have become accustomed to over many years.
The envoy pointed out that the Kuwaiti government provided facilitations targeting Jerusalem, "emanating from the holy city's Islamic status and Palestine's political importance."
The plane carries foodstuffs, baby milk and medical supplies, raised by Kuwait Relief Society, which would be delivered Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip in coordination with the JHCO.
The JHCO said it made all arrangements to deliver the Kuwaiti aid supplies on its convoys operated to the Palestinian territories, in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army.
