Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Ali Saturday pledged to boost the industrial sector's export capacity and enhance its competitiveness in foreign markets and Industrial linkages.

She spoke during a field tour of industrial facilities in Abu Alanda south of Amman, where she met factory owners, investors and spare parts suppliers to discuss key obstacles facing them, top of which is high production costs and soaring shipping rates.

The minister praised the industrial sector's role in the national economy and its contribution to the gross domestic product, creating job opportunities and increasing exports, pledging that their grievances and observations will be addressed in coordination with governmental agencies and the Jordan Chamber of Industry.
