Red Sea-Dead Sea Water Conveyance project

Ammon News - Ahmad Al Hamad - The World Bank on Saturday decided to cancel the Red Sea-Dead Sea Water Conveyance project (Two Seas Canal) from its list of funded projects.

The project includes a pipeline to run from the city of Aqaba by the Red Sea to the Dead Sea that is supposed to provide Jordan with potable water.

The reason behind the project cancellation is attributed to Jordanian government's lack of agreement on the project's criteria, according to the World Bank.
