Ammon News - HRH Princess Sumaya, president of the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), said that the society has participated in the activities to confront the COVID-19 pandemic.
The princess said that the RSS has neither closed its doors nor its laboratories and facilities, providing its services since the first day of the pandemic in the service of public health.
Inaugurating the third national conference on food and pharmaceutical industries at the University of Mutah via videoconference, the princess said that the RSS put all its capabilities and experiences at the disposal of the state in line with its mission and national role of working to preserve citizens’ health and safety.
The princess said that the society attaches great importance to the food and drug sector out of its belief in the necessity of preserving human health and safety through its multiple technical centres that have advanced technological and technical capabilities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The conference was organised by the Jordan Food and Drug Administration in partnership with the University of Mutah.
For his part, Mutah University President Arafat Awajan said that the event allows specialists in food and drug fields from the faculties of agriculture, pharmaceutical sciences, medicine, nursing and sciences to exchange expertise and knowledge.
