Ammon News - Industrial exports from factories in the governorates of Mafraq and Zarqa picked up by 19% in April to $63.4 million against $53.4 million in the same month of 2020, announced President of the Zarqa Chamber of Industry (ZCI), Faris Hamoudeh.
However, the value of exports from Zarqa governorate in the first quarter 2021 stood at $286.4 million, indicating an increase of 5 percent, compared with the $272.5 million in the same period of 2020, according to Hamoudeh.
The increase in exports indicates recovery of some traditional and global markets "relatively," which contributed to improvement of exports over 2021 first quarter, especially after some sectors saw a decline during the last period, due to the negative effects triggered by Covid-19 pandemic on global demand for various products, he pointed out.
