Saw puppets

Ammon News - Users of the site came across the bizarre scene in Saint Petersburg, Russia, with the puppets on the signature tricycle from the Saw franchise. It led to debate about what was happening.

Google Maps users were creeped out after coming across a number of killer puppets made famous by the Saw movie franchise.

The bizarre scene unfolded in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg and a video was uploaded to Reddit.

In the clip there are around 10 of the puppets on their signature tricycles.

Billy the puppet appeared in eight films in the horror movie franchise. It is used by serial killer John Kramer to describe the details of the traps he has set and the means by which the test subjects could survive.

The odd scene in Russia drew many comments on Reddit.

Mimicking the puppet's catchphrase in the films, one joked: "Wanna play a little game?

"Whoever drinks the most vodka within an hour lives."

Another replied: "The winner drank so much vodka that he died of alcohol poisoning the next day."

A third commented on the video and remarked: "And if you go inside the tunnel at the end of the video, you're probably never coming back."

Another Reddit user come up with an explanation for the video.

They said: "Judging by everything I assume this is supposed to be some sort of marketing campaign for the escape room they have there."

Someone else put forward a similar theory, saying: "I think it's a very clever partisan ad of a quest room company called 'iLocked, real quests', you can easily see this written at a car's door."

This is not the first time Google Maps users have spotted 'movie stars' on the popular site.

Recently one was baffled after spotting 'Batman' running down the street in broad daylight.

The Caped Crusader was seen out and about in the French city of Valenciennes.
