Aqaba Zone denies rumors that 80 tourists tested positive for COVID-19

Ahmad Al Hamad - The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) denied rumors which indicate that 80 tourists who arrived from Bulgaria Saturday tested positive for COVID-19.

The deputy head of the ASEZA, Sharhabeel Madi said that only one woman from the arrivals tested positive for COVID-19.

Madi added that the tourist has been subjected to institutional-quarantine at her own expense, stating that she was tested positive for COVID-19 at least seven days before her arrival to Jordan.

Madi also added that most of the tourists had received the coronavirus vaccine in their countries, while the others had taken the PCR test prior to arriving at King Hussein International Airport.
