Blanket lockdown on Friday suspended, night curfew to remain unchanged and Taraweeh prayer allowed

Ahmad AlHamad - Minister of State for Media Affairs and the government spokesperson, Sakher Dudin on Wednesday said that the government issued a number of decisions in response to parliamentary demands.

The minister stated that the government issued the following decisions:

Suspend blanket lockdown on Friday starting from next Friday.

Partial lockdown hours to remain unchanged countrywide.

Public to perform Isha'a, Taraweeh prayers on foot starting from next Friday. 

Eid al-Fitr holiday starts next May 11 to 15.

The minister added that government aims at reopening sectors gradually.
