COVID-19 kills 96 in Jordan, taking death toll to 7565

Ammon News - COVID-19 killed 96 in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 7565 and a total of 4775 cases were recorded, pushing the caseload to some 655,456, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

Breaking down Wednesday's tally, the MoH said that 1841 cases were recorded in Amman, 894 in Irbid, 688 in Zarqa, 239 in Balqa, 188 in Mafraq, 215 in Karak, 130 in Madaba, 113 in Ajloun, 163 in Aqaba, 106 in Tafilah, 89 in Jerash and 114 in Maan.

The MoH said in a press statement that some 337 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 342 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals stands at 2933.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 71,120, it added.

More than 576,771 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 12 percent of the 39,735 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
