Ammon News - Iraqi authorities have decided to exempt imports from Jordan from any customs duties effective as of Wednesday, March 31, according to an announcement made by head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Jaghbeer.

"As a result of the close follow-up by the chamber and in coordination with the Kingdom's ambassador in Baghdad, Montaser Al-Uqla, the Iraqi customs authorities were instructed to stop charging any customs duties on Jordanian goods exported to Iraq, as of today," Jaghbeer said.

He added that Iraq is a "strategic depth and market" for the Kingdom, saying the decision promotes joint Arab integration in various fields, especially in economic and commercial spheres.
