Ammon News - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation on Sunday signed an agreement to establish and extend main and subsidiary water networks in the Natifa region in Irbid with a value estimated at JD215,000, funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The project ensures that newly developed areas are served with water and sanitation services.

The ministry stated that the project, which will be implemented by a local contractor within a period not exceeding four months, includes constructing main and subsidiary networks in Natifa, and supplying, installing, repositioning and inspecting water and ventilation lines and valves for household connections.

The ministry stressed that it is continuously exerting efforts to overcome the effects of increasing water demand witnessed in all regions of the Kingdom, especially in northern regions due to the influx of Syrian refugees.
