Ammon News - Director of the King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH), Dr. Mohammad Ghazo, said the occupancy rate at the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU) treating Covid-19 patients has reached 95%.
He said the ICU ward "can only receive five additional Covid-19 patients, as 48 cases are now being treated in the unit, while number of its total beds stands at 53".
Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases, who are being treated in the hospital's isolation section, has reached 80, with an occupancy rate of 45%, he said, adding that the isolation ward's total beds stands at 98.
The director said "the situation is worrisome " due to the high number of Covid-19 infections, calling on citizens to follow precautionary, preventive measures "more than ever before."
