JCI cancels Kosovo business visit plan after embassy move

Ammon News - The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) on Tuesday announced it canceled plans to organize a Jordanian industrialist delegation to Kosovo following the Balkan nation's move to open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem.

In a statement, the JIC it "absolutely has no plans" to press ahead with the visit, stressing rejection of Kosovo's polices in the region.

Earlier this month and during a visit by the Kosovan non-resident ambassador to Jordan, the chamber said it was looking into dispatching a delegation of Jordanian industrialists to Kosovo to explore areas of economic cooperation.

It added that it will continue to explore and open up new and diverse markets for Jordanian exports.
