Eid Al Adha on November 27

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The first day of Eid Al-Adha will be marked on Friday, November 27, 2009, the Saudi Supreme Court announced.

The Supreme Court noted that Wednesday, November 18 will be the first day of the lunar month of Dhul Hijjah for the year 1430 of the Islamic Hijri calendar.

On his part, Jordan's Chief Islamic Justice and Royal family Imam Ahmad Hilayel announced that Monday, November 26th will mark the standing on Mount Arafat and Friday November 27th will mark the first day of Eid Al Adha.

Hilayel congratulated His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Royal family, and the Jordanian people, Arab and Islamic worlds on this occasion.

Ammon News learned that the Eid holiday in Jordan will begin on Thursday and last until Monday night.
