Ammon News - Mexican Ambassador to Jordan Roberto Rodriguez Hernandez has affirmed his country's interest in boosting cooperation with Jordan in areas of mutual interest, mainly in promoting human dignity.

The envoy’s remarks came during the Embassy’s celebrations Tuesday evening to mark the International Women's Day, saying that the basic concepts of protecting women's rights and eliminating all forms of family violence need to be reinforced.

"We are committed to gender equality and support women’s work participation, especially in education and economic fields," he added.

The Mexican Embassy will be holding a series of events during the current month of March to celebrate women, in order to raise awareness about women's role, and to promote gender equality, women empowerment and eliminate violence against women of both countries.
