Ammon News - President of the Irbid Chamber of Commerce, Muhammad Shouha, on Tuesday received Chargé d'Affairs of Pakistan's Ambassador to Jordan, Taymour Zulfiqar.

The meeting dealt with prospects for cooperation and promising investment opportunities in the northern governorate of Irbid in various economic sectors and the development of relations between businessmen communities in both countries.

Shouha lauded the deep-rooted economic ties between the two friendly countries and discussed ways to develop them, increase the volume of trade exchange and explore the best investment opportunities, which could form a basis upon which to build the prospects for economic cooperation in various fields.

For his part, Zulfiqar underlined the importance of consolidating the historical and strategic Jordanian-Pakistani relations and upgrading them to the highest and best levels, pointing out that economic ties between any two countries are a gateway to developing relations in all fields.

He expressed hope for achieving more cooperation and coordination, which would contribute to enhancing the volume of joint trade and investment exchange.

The Pakistani Commercial Attaché at the Pakistani Embassy, Khadim Ali, called on the commercial sector in Irbid to explore available investment opportunities in Pakistan, especially in clothing, salts, agricultural equipment and other sectors in which Pakistan has many competitive advantages that Jordanian investors can benefit from.
