Minister of Labor and Minister of State for Investment Affairs, Maen Qatamin on Tuesday met with Belgium Ambassador to Jordan, Filip Vanden Bulcke, for a discussion on ways to develop bilateral cooperation in economic ad investment fields and digital jobs.
During the meeting, held at the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC), Qatamin said that the two countries' relations are based on joint cooperation and coordination in several fields thanks to the support of leaderships of the two friendly countries.
The minister highlighted the available areas of cooperation between the two countries, including employment opportunities in the area of digital jobs that are provided through the adoption of information and communication technology, as Jordan possesses distinguished human resources, training and qualification in this field to provide new job opportunities for them.
Ambassador Bulcke, in turn, lauded ties between the two kingdoms, stressing on the continuity of his country's partnership with Jordan on areas of joint cooperation and the need to enhance it to serve peoples of both countries.
The ambassador highlighted projects that are being implemented through the European Union mission via the "Madad" Fund to support Syrian refugees and host communities in Jordan, and to promote the integration of host communities and refugees within the Jordan Response Plan to the Syrian crisis.
He underlined the importance of Jordan's humanitarian role in receiving Syrian refugees, underscoring Belgium's support for Jordan through the United Nations humanitarian funds and through the European Union, in order to enable Jordan to continue to play this important role.
