Ammon News - The Lower House's Foreign Affairs Committee met Tuesday with Saudi ambassador Nayef Al-Sudairi to discuss Jordanian-Saudi ties and issues of common interest, stressing the two countries' willingness to cement bilateral cooperation.

Head of the committee Merza Boulad stressed the importance of close coordination between the Jordanian parliament and the Saudi Shura Council in the service of central Arab causes, and to unify Arab ranks to address regional and international challenges.

The ten-member committee praised the level of relations, particularly in the investment, tourism, economic and education fields, and stressed the importance of joint parliamentary cooperation.

The Saudi envoy hailed the "good" relations in the various fields, pointing to the prospects available to build on them and the two countries' leadership's interest to further cement cooperation, which, he said, helped to address many of the challenges that stand in the way of investment and economic cooperation.
