Six patients undergo corneas transplant under KEPCO Jordan’s initiative

Ammon News - An initiative launched by the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) of Jordan contributed in the implantation of six corneas for patients in different districts of the Kingdom, in cooperation with the Jordan Eye Bank.

In a statement on Monday, CEO of KEPCO’s Qatranah Electric Power Company (QEPC) Kyuhyun Ryu, said that the initiative comes within the Corporation’s social responsibility towards local communities, urging other companies to support medical service providers and people in need of medical care, especially in light of the current conditions due to the COVID pandemic.

Jordan Eye Bank Director Muawiya Bdour expressed his appreciation for the Corporation’s assistance to Jordanian patients in remote areas, especially with the increasing pressure on hospitals due to the influx of Syrian refugees.
