Ammon News - The State Security Court (SSC) sentenced a defendant for a 15 -year period with temporary hard labour in jail for firing at an anti-narcotics officer, who sustained critical injury in his left foot.
During a public session held on Wednesday, the court issued its verdict, headed by Military Judge, Muwaffaq Masaed, and the 3-strong panel.
According to court proceedings, the defendant shot a lieutenant on-duty in the left foot east of the capital, Amman, who was rushed to King Hussein Medical City (KHMC).
The perpetrator was arrested, and was tried before the SSC per its jurisdiction, the indictment documents show.
