Ammon News - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Nael Kabariti, discussed on Wednesday, with the Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan, Khaled Al-Suhaili, ways to enhance and activate trade exchange between the two countries.
Discussions went over coordination to hold a joint Jordanian-Tunisian Business Council meeting remotely during 2021 to strengthen relations between the two countries and activate bilateral agreements, said a JCC press statement.
Noting future action, the two sides stressed the need to intensify meetings to enhance economic and bilateral cooperation to provide all forms of support and overcome obstacles facing the private sector, to increase the volume of future economic and commercial cooperation, according to the statement.
Jordan's exports to Tunisia amounted to JD10 million in 2019, which were concentrated in pharmaceutical products, fertilizers, organic chemicals, and iron and steel products, compared to JD15 million of imports, per official data.
