Ammon News - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, and Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz al-Khabbaz, on Monday chaired the extraordinary meeting of the General Assembly of the Jordanian-Iraqi Industry Company.
Talks during the meeting tackled the company’s investments and initial investment trends for the coming years, as well as the latest developments on the joint economic city project, according to a statement by the ministry.
The two ministers stressed the need to speed up procedures of the city's project, as the General Assembly recommended to form a joint steering committee to follow up the progress of work, and mandated the company’s management to proceed with the Request for Bids (RFB) for the project’s feasibility study and consulting services.
The Jordanian-Iraqi Industry Company was established in 1981, and has investment contributions in both countries.
