The Minister of Transport, Marwan Khaitan, said the government has taken a decision to solve part of the shipping problem between the Egyptian city of Nuweiba and the Jordanian Aqaba with regard to the Arab Bridge Maritime Company (ABMC), the exclusive carrier operating between the two countries.
In a press statement to "Petra" on Thursday, the minister said the file of passenger traffic between the two port cities has undergone many studies, and an expected decision will be taken accordingly to resume operations.
Important meetings were held with the Egyptian side to resume the inter-maritime traffic between the two countries, but this decision is subject to the health status and developments, according to the minister.
