Ammon News - Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) board chairman Senator Nael Kabariti Tuesday discussed with Mexican Ambassador Roberto Rodriguez Hernandez ways of boosting trade and investment relations between the two countries.
A JCC statement said that Kabariti welcomed joint cooperation with Mexico to increase trade exchange and build partnerships and launch investment projects between both countries.
Kabariti proposed setting up joint factories in the Kingdom to produce complementary industries with Jordanian certificates of origin in order to facilitate the entry of goods into neighboring countries and take advantage of trade deals that were signed by the Kingdom with global economic blocs.
He also called for holding a virtual meeting between the private sectors in the two countries to highlight economic and investment opportunities, as well as establishing a digital platform for companies and institutions to promote their products and services.
The Mexican envoy said his country is ready to build effective economic relations with Jordan as a gateway to regional markets, stressing the importance of forging closer cooperation and coordination.
During the meeting, Hernandez presented a draft cooperation agreement between the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE) and the JCC.
