Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Nael Kabariti, discussed with the Chinese ambassador to Jordan, Chen Chuandong, mechanisms for strengthening and developing economic and trade relations between the two countries.
According to a JCC press statement issued on Wednesday, Kabariti lauded the "strong" economic and trade relations between the two countries, stressing the need for continued communication and direct coordination with JCC to address obstacles that face commercial sector from both sides.
Kabariti also highlighted the importance to utilize e-commerce, which is a key opportunity for merchants and investors to hold meetings and strike trade deals, to reach positive results that would reflect on the two countries' investment and trade relations to meet common aspirations.
Stressing the need to support marketing of Jordanian goods and products in China, as the Kingdom's third largest trading partner, he called on launching more Chinese investments in Jordan, especially in the field of advanced technology.
For his part, the envoy referred to his country's continuous endeavors to strengthen its ties with Jordan, especially in light of the current circumstances, adding that Beijing seeks to offer new "encouraging" measures to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Chuandong also referred to the current cooperation and coordination to organize a virtual exhibition to be held to market and export Jordanian olive oil to the Chinese market, in addition to other products, according to the statement.
