Ammon News - The Ministry of Labor on Thursday announced it completed putting a procedural guide with preventive measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus, in partnership with representatives of sectors that will return to work early next month.

The guide will be providing a reference framework for workplace measures amid the current exceptional circumstances, in order to protect the health and safety of employers, workers and visitors of private sector establishments, and in implementation of the "Tawkeed" project, which aims at ensuring business continuity by avoiding violations, according to a statement by ministry's spokesperson, Mohammad Zyoud.

Zyoud said that the ministry’s personnel have put all preventive measures in a manner that takes into account the specificity of each sector, and adheres to health instructions in accordance with the laws in force and the Labor Law.

"The Ministry calls on establishments operating in these sectors to adhere to the protocols," he added, stressing that the health protection observer will be in charge of ensuring the extent to which facilities adhere to protocols and procedures.

The spokesperson emphasized that the appointment of a health protection monitor will be within specific standards that take into account the facilities’ type of work, sizes, area, and the number of service recipients, while alternatives will be provided for small-sized businesses without incurring additional costs.

The sectors opening next month include sports centers and academies, fitness centers, public swimming pools, hotels’ outdoor swimming pools, public parks, playing parks, entertainment places, electrical and electronic games centers, schools and cultural clubs.

The protocols will be circulated before the end of this month to sectors, chambers of industry and commerce, unions, and on the ministry's website and its social media platforms.
