Ammon News - Jordan’s Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh on Tuesday met with President Sisi in Amman.

President El-Sisi was in Amman on an official visit to Jordan, where he met with King Abdullah II on Monday to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.

During the meeting with Al-Khasawneh, El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s willingness to enhance the bilateral relations with Jordan, especially in terms of economy and commerce, in a way that achieves the interests of both countries.

The president also expressed keenness for enhancing ties on the trilateral level with Jordan and Iraq.

El-Sisi and Al-Khasawneh affirmed the need to foster the economic cooperation and boost trade exchange, in light of the high level of political relations and historic ties linking the two countries.

They also agreed on the importance of further cooperation between medical authorities of both countries in terms of facing the coronavirus pandemic.

El-Sisi and Al-Khasawneh also discussed latest regional developments, especially in Syria, Libya and Yemen.

They agreed on the need to jointly face the challenges imposed by terrorism and extremism on regional security, through intensifying joint coordination and exchanging information and expertise between the relevant authorities of the two countries.
