House Palestine Committee holds Israel accountable for Jordanian detainees' life

17-01-2021 10:23 PM

Ammon News -

The Lowe House Palestine Committee expressed pride in Jordan's diplomatic efforts in all regional and international forums, to serve the Palestinian cause, support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and confront the Israeli attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

In a press statement issued by president, MP Mohammed Dhahrawi, on Sunday, the committee stressed the importance of the "historic" Hashemite guardianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

To ensure prisoner safety, Dhahrawi called on the international community and human rights organizations to "immediately" intervene to release the Jordanian and Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons.

The committee holds the Israeli occupation state "fully accountable" for the Jordanian detainees' life in its prisons, which lack the humanitarian foundations, in light of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the statement.
